[mslee's thoughts] My Spring Days Episode 11 Screen caps Review

Bom Yi and Dong Ha started to see each other officially in this episode. After all, both can not deny their feelings anymore. Dong Ha tried to push her away but it only made her so sad she had to come after him and show him that she is brave enough to go forward with him even if the odds are against them. He is not only a widow but has two children, he is also the brother of Dr. Dong Wook and most of all the age gap between them is 18 years.

Surely, Bom Yi will have a hard time convincing her parents to give her their blessings. As of this episode, Dong Ha is still playing it cool, telling her that he will deal with all of their troubles one by one. He has finally committed himself to him. Well he is ready to take this chance with her, despite who will get hurt in the way.

Between the two, Bom Yi is more affectionate, she is not afraid to show him how she feels for him. While Dong Ha is still trying to be distant but Bom Yi is a warm person, she is not afraid of a little skinship, like sitting closer to him or holding his hands while walking.

At the hospital, Bom Yi's father is reassuring Dong Wook that he is always there for him, as a friend and as a colleague. Dong Wook has not decided what he should do. He is needed in the hospital. If he leaves, the hospital may suffer a great loss.

Dong Ha met with Bom Yi's father while Bom Yi met with his mother. They told them separately about their relationship. Bom Yi's father asked Dong Ha to push her away. But Dong Ha was courageous enough to tell him that he had tried that before but it only made her sad. He is not asking for permission but to let them realize that they are there for each other. While his mother felt sad that once again Dong Wook will be hurt because of Dong Ha. The mother talked to Dong Ha. Why it has to be him again.

Dong Ha tried to meet Dong Wook but the latter did not give him a chance to hear him. Dong Wook is not ready to talk. While the children are happy to see that Bom Yi and their father are good, Bom Yi's mother is still in the dark. She only knew she broke up with Dong Wook.

The ending in the episode was a revelation to Bom Yi's mother. She saw the two of them locked in an embrace outside Bom Yi's friend's apartment. She was shocked to say the least. She did not know who this man. But she knew he is much older than her daughter. This man is the reason she broke up her engagement.

Some more thoughts.....

Well, it is really hard to comprehend in a mother's point of view how she can let her daughter be with a man who is old enough to be an uncle. What more if she learned that this man is a widow with kids and the brother of the much younger and handsome doctor who was her ex boyfriend. This will surely be going to be hard convincing any parent for that matter.

I see Bom Yi's father trying to understand her daughter. But it will take time to accept the fact. But I think he wants her to be happy.

As for Dong Ha, he is the type who takes things easy, not easily troubled or if he is, he is trying to take each day as it comes. He will iron out things for Bom Yi one by one, no hurry. And the good thing about him, he is not being a coward facing her father.

Both compliment each other. Bom Yi is confident with her feelings. Dong Ha is strong enough to protect her. I think both already understand that they are already in love with one another. They are optimistic that time will come everything will sort it out.

The drama has a mellow feel, but flutters the heart of a viewer. The dawning of their new love is fresh and not hurried. It is like it is the first time for both of them. They are careful but it only adds charm to their unique love story.
